Scrapbook Album in a
Sewing Machine Drawer
- JUST ADDED
I finally found enough antique sewing drawers and embellishments to create an album in an old treadle sewing machine drawer!  You will find all kinds of nostalgia -- cafeteria tickets; bingo cards; checkers; dominoes; match books; earrings (yes, earrings); lace; scissors, rulers; keys; playing cards; etc. Basically, we will making tags from chipboard and Graphic 45's Old Curiosity Shoppe paper line using the old embellishments listed above.  There are no difficult techniques -- I'd say it is simplistic but full of character!  Come see it -- I know you will enjoy owning or giving this album as a gift.  You will need to come in anyway to pick a sewing machine drawer (to take home and clean and bring to class) -- cost of drawers range from $7-10; this cost is in addition to the class fee ($75).  The drawers are old and not in perfect condition.  I have 14 drawers; 7 are wood finished and 3 are white-washed for the shabby chic look (you can always white-wash yourself?).  You will need to bring:  drawer; regular class kit; black ink pad and applicator; and the following adhesives:  dry; foam; Zip Dry; Scor-Tape; glue stick with brayer   --  I used glue stick for this whole project with very little running tape.  I used about 1-1/2 sticks of Uhu -- really saved on the running tape!  Kits are allowed but no instructions or pictures.........you will need to borrow my sample which I loan out by order/date you register or you can come take pictures after/during the class.  Class is offered Saturday, June 16 or Tuesday, June 19 from 9:00am to 5:00pm  Fee:  $75  Instructor:  Sueb  0424
