MISTY SAMSON

Originally from Nor*Cal, I moved to Virginia when my mother-in-law took ill.  I have been scrapbooking since 92-93 when all there was, was ugly cardstock and stickers.  I have not redone any of my books.  Currently, you will typically find anything that is loud (bright as I like to call it) in my stuff.  My craftiness doesn’t just start and end with Scrapbooking!  I come from an artsy family, I also sew, quilt, do stain glass (when I go home), and crochet, plus a few other things.  Currently the victims of my scrapbook are my darling son and my sweet dog.  I am passionate about photography, my family, and friends.

What is your favorite scrapbook item?
Favorite Item is paper…lots of paper…lots of bright colors.

What type of designer are you?
I don’t really have a design style, I do what I like, so that is sort of whatever the style is at the moment.  However I don’t do Shabby Chic, just don’t like it.

What is your favorite thing to make?
I love double page spreads, I rarely do anything other than 12x12.  Every once in a while I might spice it up with a 6X6.

What page layout is a challenge for you?
I am not really into altered items.  I feel like if it was meant to be altered it would have come to me altered.  :o)

If you were to write a book on scrapbooking, what would title would you use?
The title of my book would be “Everyday pages by Everyday women”

What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is Red…However that has nothing to do with how I scrap.  I have all boys so I use lots of blues and greens.

What type of snack do you eat when scrapbooking?
Not really a snack person while I scrapbook...I am afraid I will spill.  I am not that graceful.

Do you prefer cropping at home or at a crop?
I prefer to scrap at home if I have things I want to get done.  It is just me, and my music or my TV.  I like the background noise without all the people.  I like to go to crops just to be a social butterfly.  I like to know what others are doing, and the story behind the pictures.

What is on your scrapbook wish list?
I don’t really have a wish list.  I am a buy it when I want it girl.  There are a few Cricut cartridges that I would like to try out, before I purchase…And I have considered in getting a Revolution.  There are some great dies out right now.

What is something you always wanted to try?
The only thing I can think of is I would like to take some classes with some “professionals”.   However I am far too cheap to spend that amount of money.

What do you listen to when scrapbooking?
My scrapbooking Music of choice is 80’s, Country or Alternative.

What blogs/magazines do you like?
I do not read blogs.  And I don’t read magazines faithfully.  When I remember I like Creative Keepsakes, and Scrapbooks ETC.
